CAI Movie Club
7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 10. Discussion via Zoom of the movie “Over the Brooklyn Bridge”, starring Elliott Gould, Sid Caesar, & Margaux Hemmingway. Born and bred in Brooklyn, N.Y., Alby Sherman has worked his whole life at his family's deli. But he has bigger ambitions—namely, moving across the East River to open a high-end restaurant in Manhattan. Although he has a prime location wrapped up, Alby lacks the money to get started. When he asks his well-to-do uncle Benjamin to make an investment, the man agrees—if Alby will leave his girlfriend, Elizabeth, and marry a Jewish girl. Watch on Youtube, Tubi, or Amazon Prime Video.

Kol High Holiday Food Drive
Starting now, throughout the High Holidays, please bring non-expired, non-perishable food to Kol for donation throughout our community. This year, we are proud to expand our collection to include a local college food pantry. The amount of college students with food insecurity is high, and we can help by donating; kid friendly food - ramen, snacks, granola, etc. And we are thrilled to continue our partnership with the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley to donate non-perishable foods like rice, peanut butter, soups, cereals, canned goods, etc. Look through your cabinets, buy a few extra items when you are in the supermarket. The need is great, and every little bit helps. Let’s work together on this Tikkun Olam effort and make this year's collection the largest yet. Look for the collection boxes at both entrances. Todah Rabah.
