”Kristallnacht” Photo Exhibit Reception - 1:00 pm on Sunday, June 5 and Thursdays, June 2 & June 9 from 4:30 - 6:30pm at Kol Yisrael - Art Exhibition and Panel featuring WWII-inspired series by Professor Dean Goldberg of Mount Saint Mary College. Dean’s “Kristallnacht” photo exhibit looks 1at the sins of the past in his “Framing History” series. “Kristallnacht,” is the first in a series of historical photo-narratives; true events that reflect the myriad portrayals of human injustice and hate. “Kristallnacht,” tells the story of two lovers who grew up together in a little village outside of Munich and are now forced by history to go their separate ways —one to kill and the other to be killed. Made possible by the Moreh Fund and the Kol Yisrael Joint Planning Committee.
First Jewish Museum of the Hudson Valley – Sunday, September 18, 2022. The KOL Yisrael Joint Programming Committee invites the community to submit items for curation for the first Jewish Museum of the Hudson Valley at a campus-wide event. Submissions are being accepted through July. Examples of items to submit include but are not limited to Jewelry, Family heirlooms, and Artifacts of significance. We will publicly display these items in a secure room in the building on that day. Owners can stand next to their displays to share the history and meaning with museum guests. Security will be provided to ensure the safety of the presenters and artifacts. If the presenter prefers, a photograph of the item can be displayed instead of the actual item.
