”Kristallnacht” Photo Exhibit Reception - 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 22 at Kol Yisrael - Art Exhibition and Panel featuring WWII-inspired series by Professor Dean Goldberg of Mount Saint Mary College. Dean’s “Kristallnacht” photo exhibit looks at the sins of the past in his “Framing History” series. “Kristallnacht,” is the first in a series of historical photo-narratives; true events that reflect the myriad portrayals of human injustice and hate. “Kristallnacht,” tells the story of two lovers who grew up together in a little village outside of Munich and are now forced by history to go their separate ways —one to kill and the other to be killed. Made possible by the Moreh Fund and the Kol Yisrael Joint Planning Committee.

Memorial Day Veteran Recognition – 9:00 am on Sunday, May 29 at Big Rock Cemetery. Volunteers are needed to place flags on veterans’ gravesites. Children are welcome to help with flags as well. The Newburgh American Legion Motorcade will visit Big Rock to play taps. After taps, Rabbi Kohn will lead Kaddish and say a few prayers. Please join us for our TBJ Family memorial. In addition on Monday, May 30 at 3:00 pm there will be a Memorial Day observation at the Orange County Veterans Memorial at the intersection of Liberty Street and Leroy Place and will conclude with the reading of the names of all deceased veterans since World War I.
