CAI Movie Viewing & Discussion - Sunday, March 23 at 3:00 pm - Come view the movie "Between The Temples" starring Jason Schwartzman and Carol Kane. A year after his wife, Ruth, died after slipping on a patch of ice, cantor.
Ben Gottlieb is suffering a crisis of faith and is unable to sing. He moves back in with his mothers, Meira and Judith. After getting into a fight at a bar, Ben encounters Carla Kessler, who was his music teacher in elementary school. Carla comes to one of Ben's classes for boys and girls, preparing for their bar and bat mitzvahs. Carla says that she has always wanted a bat mitzvah, but she was a red diaper baby; her parents, who were communists, did not allow her to have a bat mitzvah when she turned 13. Ben agrees to teach Carla and gets a ceremony approved by Bruce, the synagogue's rabbi. Viewing will be in the conference room at the synagogue. Everyone is Welcome to Attend!
CAI Movie Viewing & Discussion - Sunday, April 27 at 3:00 pm. In Berlin in the 1930s, the civil rights of Jews were stripped away. A young rabbi refused to be silent. His name was Joachim Prinz, and he set out to restore the self-esteem of the German Jews. Knowing the Nazis were monitoring his every word, Prinz continued to preach about the value of Judaism. He saved many lives by encouraging Jews to emigrate from Germany. Viewing will be in the conference room at the synagogue. Everyone is Welcome to Attend!

Intro to Judaism/Adult Hebrew – 6:45-7:45 pm for Intro and 7:45 – 8:30 pm for Hebrew. Tuesdays through April 1. The Intro course is 12 weeks long and will explore the customs, values & beliefs of Judaism and Jewish Life. The Hebrew course will start from Aleph to letters, vowels and words of Hebrew. TBJ Sisterhood Book Club – 12:30 pm on Thursday, March 20, at the temple. The book is "Beyond the Ghetto Gates" by Michelle Cameron. When French troops occupy the Italian port city of Ancona, freeing the city's Jews from their repressive ghetto, it unleashes a whirlwind of progressivism and brutal backlash as two very different cultures collide. Mirelle must choose between her duty—an arranged marriage to a wealthy Jewish merchant—and her love for a dashing French Catholic soldier. Meanwhile, Francesca, a devout Catholic, must decide if she will honor her marriage vows to an abusive and murderous husband when he enmeshes their family in the theft of a miracle portrait of the Madonna.

Anne Frank The Exhibition – 9:50 am on Sunday, March 30, at the Center for Jewish History, 15 West 16th Street in Manhattan. Parents and Religious School students are encouraged to join us. The Anne Frank House will present a pioneering experience outside of Amsterdam to immerse visitors in a full-scale recreation of the Annex where Anne Frank, her parents and sister, and four other Jewish inhabitants spent two years hiding to evade Nazi capture. Tickets are $10 per student and $15 per adult. Meet at the temple then carpool to the city. RSVP by March 20th.

Donors swab the inside of their cheeks and complete a registration form, must be 18 to 59 years old and in good health. Volunteers are also needed for a couple of hours to help find someone's match.
